Recall issued for baby cucumbers as salmonella cases hit Australia’s east coast

After more than a dozen people got sick over the Christmas holiday, a well-known baby cucumber brand was immediately recalled. A baby cucumber brand has been urgently recalled following more than a dozen illnesses over the holiday season. After there seemed to be a diarrhoea outbreak among those who drank the Qukes baby cucumber product, WA Health issued the caution. On December 23, cucumbers purchased from a Perth metropolitan supermarket tested positive for Salmonella Typhimurium. Testing was conducted after 19 consumers of the product became unwell. No other cucumber brand is currently impacted.
