The mother of Broncos star Payne Haas has been caught up in a fiery crash that claimed the lives of three people from the same family. Their vehicles collided just minutes after police tried to pull her over.

Around 5 p.m. on Friday, emergency personnel were summoned to the collision on Bonogin Road in Bonogin. The silver Mercedes had been thrown off the road and into a power pole, trapping the driver and two passengers inside.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said that although two of the three passengers were rescued from the car by police and given first aid, regrettably all three of them passed away at the site The 46-year-old Bonogin woman was reportedly driving a black Mercedes when it took fire, and cops managed to extricate her from the burning vehicle. Ms. Taufua was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital where she is receiving treatment for various fractures, internal injuries, and bruised lungs.
