Steve Middleton, a 50-year-old man from Gold Coast, Australia, became an overnight hero when he fought off armed robbers in his underwear. On December 26th at 4:30 am, Steve woke up to find strangers rummaging through his daughter’s car.
He immediately jumped into action and confronted the three robbers who were armed with a knife and a metal bar. Despite being in his underwear, Steve used one of the thieves as a human shield and managed to fight them off.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed Steve’s heroic act and quickly went viral on social media. People have since been calling him ‘Captain Undies’ or ‘Underwear Hero’.
