National Cabinet will meet next week to tackle soaring electricity prices. The Prime Minister has ruled out cash subsidies for struggling households instead there’s a plan to cap energy prices. It will cost the Federal and state governments millions in lost taxes and dividends – and we’re also being warned that it’s only a short term fix.
