There are new calls this morning to allow age pensioners to work more and help fill job vacancies. The Federal Government recently announced pensioners could earn an extra $4,000 this financial year, before it impacts their age pension. That’s an extra $77 per week. But National Seniors Australia has suggested a New Zealand style policy, where pensioners work as much as they want and pay tax on their total income.
