Veteran Brisbane Broncos winger Corey Oates says peace has been restored to Red Hill, and believes there will be no lingering friction between Selwyn Cobbo and coach Kevin Walters. Cobbo was forced to apologise after calling Walters, “Not a good coach,” on a podcast; now Oates has offered a more flattering assessment.
“It’s not easy to do and you’ve got a team that struggled for so many years, I think [Kevin]’s done a great job to be honest.”
Broncos players will now have to seek approval from officials before appearing on podcasts.
