James Spenceley, founder of Airtasker, has recently embarked on his fifth convoy to Ukraine in response to the call of Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelenskyy for more support. In all of his five visits, Spenceley has observed the devastating cost of war including risk-laden evacuations, lack of power and deplorable destruction of infrastructure. Despite these harsh realities, he continues to bring aid and ambulances with the hope that it can inspire others to join in and help in accordance with Aussie spirit. Spenceley’s mission is a testament to his altruism and service for a country miles away from his own.

James Spenceley, founder of Airtasker and successful entrepreneur, is no stranger to giving back. On his fifth convoy to Ukraine, James is delivering ambulances, support vehicles and medical supplies to those in need.

James has a long history of success in the business world. He is the founder of Vocus Communications (now Vocus Group) and Chairman of Airtasker. Additionally, he is a leading VC investor, business mentor and non-executive director at Kogan.com. He was even inducted into the Hall of Fame at The Edison Awards in 2018.

This isn’t the first time James has put his life on hold for charitable causes either; he previously drove a convoy from Sydney to Melbourne with over $1 million worth of medical supplies for victims of bushfires in Victoria.

It’s inspiring to see someone with such an impressive career take time out for philanthropic efforts like this one. We can all learn something from James’ example!
