One of Australia’s biggest health insurers is being held to ransom by hackers who claim to have stolen sensitive customer data. Yesterday Medibank revealed it had received a message from a hacking group, threatening to sell health conditions and credit card details. It also warned that a thousand of Medibank’s most prominent customers would be contacted with personal information, to show the attack wasn’t a bluff.
