Australia Post’s cut-off deadline for December 12 in most states

Australia Post’s cut-off deadline is set for December 12 with Christmas now only just around the corner.

If they want their gifts to arrive in time for Christmas, Australians have just a few days left to mail them. Cards and packages must be placed in the mail by specific dates set by Australia Post in order to arrive overseas or to Australian destinations in time for the holidays.

In Western Australia and the Northern Territory, the deadlines for standard parcel post have already gone, but consumers still have until Wednesday, December 14 to ship via express post. There are only a few days left to send packages through ordinary mail for delivery throughout the rest of Australia; the deadline is Monday, December 12.

Express post is still accepting packages as of Monday, December 19.  As of Monday, December 19, you can still send cards and letters by ordinary mail.  However, if they are to go interstate, they must be delivered by Thursday, December 15.
