197,000 Robodebt victims to have their cases wiped | 7NEWS

Just under 200,000 Robodebt victims, a scheme that wrongly hounded welfare recipients, will have their cases wiped.

The news of this scheme having negative effects on people’s lives is not surprising, with some families saying it contributed to their loved ones’ suicides. Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth announced 197 000 outstanding robodebt cases will be ended and an investigation underway by the royal commission into these issues already present in our society today
